Cathy has been working in the oil and gas business since 1978. Before starting Empire-Davis, Cathy was the Director of Acquisitions & Divestitures for North America at Calpine Natural Gas, a subsidiary of Calpine Corporation. As Lead Negotiator, Cathy acquired over $1 Billion Dollars of oil and gas reserves in the U.S. and Canada. During her tenure as Manager of Land and Legal at SCANA Petroleum, Cathy successfully mediated and settled over 40 lawsuits inherited through previous acquisitions. Cathy's career has spanned all aspects of the land business from the ground floor up. She has worked at Mesa Petroleum, Trinity Resources, Torch Energy Advisors as well as her more recent positions at SCANA and Calpine. Cathy has been in charge of coordinating due diligence across all disciplines, including accounting, legal, land, engineering, regulatory, and environmental.
